SURF DOG RICOCHET RAISES $10,000 TO SAVE A DOG & VETERAN WITH PTSD
FOR A PATRIOTIC BREAKFAST TO HONOR VETERANS THIS SUNDAY
SAN DIEGO, CA, November 8, 2013… Surf dog Ricochet raised $10,000 for K9’s for Warriors and will be presenting the check to them this Sunday at 10:00 am at the Bark Business Tour Breakfast at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort, 4000 Loews Coronado Bay Road, San Diego, California, 92118.
Please join Ricochet and Wendy Diamond, to honor U.S. Veterans who have selflessly defended our nation for a patriotic breakfast and fundraiser.
AnimalFair.com’s Bark Business Tour will raise money and awareness for the K9s For Warriors organization-whether it’s a donation of $10 or $100 or more, Wendy and Animal Fair Media vow to keep digging until enough funds are raised to pair 20 returning U.S. Veterans stricken with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) with 20 rescued Service Dogs. The Bark Business Tour will stop in 10 cities, and won’t “roll over” until at least $200,000 is raised. Join us and help us save the life of a vet and a dog.
Diamond contacted Ricochet’s guardian, Judy Fridono asking if Ricochet could fundraise for this cause, and represent San Diego. Since Ricochet has been working with local active duty military with PTSD for several years now, it was a great fit. Ricochet raised the $10,000 within several weeks.
After learning about the alarming suicide rates of veteran’s with PTSD through Craigslist Founder Craig Newmark, Wendy Diamond made the decision to embark on a journey to help veterans suffering with PTSD and pair them with rescue service dogs. Diamond is committed “Veterans have fought selflessly for our freedom – it’s our time to fight for them.” Diamond is determined to bring the statistic of the veteran suicide rate down and is calling everyone, friends and acquaintances to help her with this mission.
