Harbin, China – On April 1, 2012, The city of Harbin published a new dog law. The regulation bans a total of 49 species which are considered “large” and “aggressive,” including huskies and bull terrier. Ownership of dogs exceeding shoulder height 50 cm (about 20 inches) and body length 70cm (about 28 inches) are now forbidden. These breeds are prohibited in the city of Harbin and its counties. Dog owners should find a way to settle their dogs before October 31st ; or send dogs to the police after November 1st, 2012. Although the restriction haven’t come yet, some have already been asked to send their dogs away.
